en I've been using Diigo for a few years and until recently it was working quite well. Recently, I've started facing sync issues, whereby the extension takes a while to start syncing (the "loading" phase takes several minutes sometimes) and I've had several situations where I'd annotate a long article only to lose all my notes and have to start from scratch. To make things worse, I've written to Diigo several times before (they have a feedback form so they practically invite feedback) - and not once have I received any feedback from them to my queries or complaints (including about this). Unfortunately there are not many extensions that can do quite the same that Diigo does but the only reason I have not replaced it yet is because I have no way of transferring years of annotations to another platform. Definitely not the treatment I expect for a paying customer.

en Sorry DIIGO After almost 20 years of being a loyal Diigo user, it's getting to that time to use another service, permanently. There have been many ups & downs but you come back stronger and with new great features. However the past year has been rough. Many outages and strange extension behaviour. I have only ever contacted customer service twice in all these years and despite the outages this year, remained patient. There isn't even a notice on the site letting users know something is wrong, & you know something is wrong. If there was something to tell us "HELLO WE ARE STILL ALIVE", your loyal users will understand, but there's been nothing on the blog since May 24, 2018 (WTH). For those looking for an alternative/backup I have been using https://raindrop.io/ for a few months now. I exported all my Diigo bookmarks and tags without any issues. I have had the extensions side by side on my chrome so, when I bookmark, I do it to both, not sure if there's a way to sync but for now it works. I still love Diigo for the many years I have used it, but if these issues keep, I will have to permanently & exclusively us raindrop. It has ALMOST all the same features with the free version except tag recommendations (AI) that's a paid feature. Raindrop also allows for image bookmarks and can save a screenshot of a page and attach to bookmark and has collections (lists or outliners) Diigo, I will continue to use you b/c I have been with you since the beginning and I love the app. But sooner or later if things don't get better I too will have to completely move on. Forever a loyal user & fan

en they've stopped responding to user requests. Reader no longer works in *any* browser, and support is non-existent. It's a shame. Used to be so good.

en Can someone please tell me ASAP of a service that's just like Diigo where users can: 1. Highlight text with different colors on webpages an PDFs? 2. Create tags? 3. Search by any word in a bookmark and webpage? 4. Make tags public and private? I tried similar services. But they weren't like Diigo. Please tell me of similar services at https://facebook.com/sea.hugger.tree.hugger. In the last few years, I've paid for an annual Premium membership. But like other reviewers mentioned, several times different, key Diigo features didn't work. It's been months and I never got a reply from customer service. Today since 9AM PST, each time I went to My Library (https://diigo.com/user/USERNAME), I see this error: 404 Not Found nginx. So I can't access any data I've collected. I share My Library's links with the public. These are links the public accesses daily. And now no one can access them.

en Back in the day this was by far my favorite Bookmark extension. So much so I purchased a subscription. I have easily over one thousand highlights. The extension became very unreliable recently. For over a month now I am not able to access my highlights. I can list them, search, etc - but I cannot access them. I just get an empty screen on all OSes and computers that I use. I have reported my problems with no reply.

en Hi Everyone. Diigo is an awesome application, with no replacement (at the time I am writing this review) because of the following reasons: 1. Highlighting and adding note to a text whether in a website or in a PDF file. 2. Having an icon in front of the text, for which a note is added to see the note either by hovering the mouse over it or by tapping on it in the mobile application. 3. Allowing to add as many PDF files as needed into its cloud storage (professional subscription is needed). 4. A very great and useful mobile application (a complete Chrome-like browser) 5. Adding extra space for the note icon when a note is added to a piece of text in a website, so that the text after that be still readable. 6. Allowing to read all highlighted texts and the notes added in a single place. 7. Allowing to click (tap) on a highlighted text or a text with a note and jump into its position in the website or PDF. 8. Having a real-time awesome sync, so you can easily jump from the website to the mobile app. And much more. However, we have the following problems: 1. The support team does not answer us. 2. The website and the browser extension fail to load the notes and highlights around 80-90% of the times in a day. 3. The Android application is gone from the Google Play Store and the only way to install it is through downloading the ".apk" file. 4. The PDF reader of the Android application and also the web application do not make the note icon transparent (unlike iOS application) and therefore the next text is not completely visible. My solutions for now: 1. To see your highlights and notes by using the web application or browser extension the only option is to refresh it through the day until it works, because it works at some points in time in a day. :( 2. While reading your PDFs in the web application, to make the note icon transparent you should add "opacity: 0.4" to the CSS class of the icon. I cannot teach it here, so please search on YouTube for "How to add a CSS class via browser developer tools". It is very easy. Please Diigo team, do not let this application die. It is a huge facilitator for researchers, book readers, language learners, programmers, etc. Please keep this application working and provide us with better support. Thank you.
