| 2020-12-13 |  | | Search hijacker. It redirects address bar searches to multiple sites that ends up on yahoo. I disabled all chrome extensions and re-enabled them 1 by 1 and it's definitely this one. Here's how it redirects for the search term: "random search" http://www.coolnewtabtheme.com/?a=gsp_nevada_00_00_ssg10&q=random%20search Then: http://yssads.ddc.com/yhs.php?c=23533&tyt=01&surl=https://nicetab.live&kw=random%20search Then: https://ca.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?hspart=domaindev&hsimp=yhs-delfia&p=random%20search&type=01__alt__ddc_nicetab_live | |

This extension was usefull when I used it but today (12/12/2020) When I have this particular extension enabled my browser default search engine becomes "coolnewtabtheme" which then redirects me to "yahoo". I reported the app and I don't recommend anyone using it at all. PS: In chrome settings default search engine was google yet it was using that fishy website whenever I used my url bar to search. | |
