en I do a lot of research papers for school and this tool is a life-saver. Even though by now I would probably know how to credibly cite the sources I use, this tool makes it so much easier. And with us being in such a world that's run by technology, why not utilize it? I love this plug-in!!

en As a secondary school teacher of research based subjects for 25 years and in possession of an honours degree in History, I feel well qualified for what I am about to say. I was shocked and astonished to find that MyBib has somehow flagged the excellent US online publication The Electronic Intifada as "probably not credible". It also goes on erroneously state that the publication I have trusted and respected for two decades contains "a high amount of clickbait" and features "opinionated articles". Without providing any more information or explanation let alone any clarity evidence for these completely false, misleading and rather mischievious statements, I feel compelled to defend its reputation and equally ask the question as to how and why MyBib got this wrong so arbitrarily and so badly. The Electronic Intifada is one of the few publications in English that focuses on "Palestine, its people, politics, culture and place in the world". Topics include Palestinian excperiences living under Israel's illegal occupation and military control of and over the Palestinian Territories as well as general focus on Palestinian and Israeli politics at home and abroad. It has a strong record of holding governments, organisations and individuals to account focusing on the Israeli lobby in the US, UK and Europe whose role it is to defend Israel ensuring its narrative is heard in the corridors or power. It also highlights the work of grassroots organisations fighting for justice in and for Palestine. Its editorial choices and journalism are informed by the "commitment of its cofounders and editors to universal principles of human rights, international law, anti-racism and equal justice" and "provide a forum where commonly excluded perspectives and challenging viewpoints are presented". And that means by extension presenting both Palestinian and Israeli voices and Palestinian and other Arab American perspectives and viewpoints as well as those from leading academics, including those from Israel. Leading human rights organizations like B'tselem, Amnesty International Human Rights Watch, activists from organisations like Jewish Voices for Peace, Code Pink, Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), Palestinian Center for Human Rights, Rabbis for Human Rights, Gush Shalom, and Machsom Watch and others and news agencies with strong records like Mondoweiss, Palestine Chronicle, The Intercept, Middle East Eye, Common Dreams, I have read and used the publication since its inception with the utmost confidence in the reliability and credibility of its sources and the validity of the methodolgies used by its contributors and journalists. It has an extremely strong record of presenting original reports, special investigations that are not only factual but based on rigorous journalistic standards, extensive cross referencing and an extremely strong and reliable evidence base. The publication also hosts opinion and analysis reviews on books and features blogs from people who document their everyday life under occupation, It's editorial selection policies are transparent as are the clear distinctions between what is news and what is educated opinion and personal opinion. The integrity of the Electronic Intifada has never been in question and its commitment to independent quality journalism makes it not only a valuable resource but a vital one. One can only hope that MyBib has not succumbed to the work of theIsraeli lobby or is not the latest to feel pressure in the long history of western institutions attempting to silence Palestinian voices on behalf of the Israeli government. I look forward to a speedy investigation and overturning of this grossly unfair and unwarranted aspersions being cast upon The Electronic Intifada. The publication has been alerted to MyBib's decision. The Editorial Team and their Credentials Ali Hasan Abunimah is a Palestinian-American journalist based in Chicago and is the founder of EI.
