2024-05-02 | Matt Collinge | en | I'm a long-time user of Page Monitor, and Visualping feels like a downgrade; I can't edit any pages I add, nor can I enter a 'select' query to narrow down exactly what I want to monitor on more complex pages.. I need to be able to look at the URL inside a link for some things I monitor; Page Monitor could do this, but Visualping can't; it purely looks at the text on the page, nothing else. We just need more options for advanced users; I'm hoping the summer update will solve this.. can you provide more details of what it'll contain? I've been able to download & modify the old Page Monitor extension to work with localStorage (only a few functions need changing in base.js) if anyone from Visualping is interested? The only problem with be needing to move to Manifest v3 in the future. But as it stands, I have this extension fully working without using WebSQL.

2024-05-01 | Nick Difrancesco | en | I am very disappointed with the lack of notication for the transition to Visual Ping, I need to be able to export my old pages. I don't need this tool and miss page monitor. Hoping to find or create a proper replacement.
2024-04-29 | Mark Simmons | en | This thing is so bad it just won't work. What is going on with the old Page Monitor?
2024-04-26 | Oleg N | en | this application is not suitable for simple tasks that have been used by thousands of people with Page Monitor, please make an analogue of Page Monitor, even if it costs money!
2024-04-26 | Alice Wünderland | en | Has some pretty big flaws that the author's other similar extension (Page Monitor) doesn't. The most egregious flaw is that it inexplicably opens everything in a new window and seems to provide no options to change this. Next most egregious is the lack of an option to edit anything other than a job's name after creating it. And after that is the inability to set a default time for everything, meaning if you don't want it checking things every minute, then you have to manually change this every single time you create a new job. I'm also not sure I buy Page Monitor being unfixable considering that this extension can obviously still manage to monitor pages, just in a way that's inferior in basically every way that actually matters. If anyone has alternatives that actually work , I'd like to hear them because this one is unviable and Page Monitor keeps resetting my settings even after following directions to recover my monitored pages.
2024-04-26 | Steph Nachname | en | Doesn't work for on site changes with Javascript. So in some cases the website changes but it does not get recognized.

2024-04-26 | Dario Piantanida | en | The browser side ping does not work as expected: I set a couple of pages to be checked every day, but this does not happen; I have to manually check them every morning when I start my PC
