User reviews

Users appreciate Temple - Tezos Wallet for its ease of use, smooth operation, and reliable management of Tezos assets. The wallet's clean interface and desktop stability are praised, as well as its ability to connect with DApps. However, multiple reviews raise serious concerns about undisclosed referral link injections into web traffic, which breach trust and privacy. The referral feature is enabled by default without clear communication. Users also desire a mobile app version and report some transaction issues. Overall, while popular and functional, privacy and ethical issues undermine user trust.
Pros
  • Easy to use with a clean interface making quick Tezos transactions simple
  • Reliable and stable for managing Tezos assets and interacting with DeFi
  • Highly recommended by users as a desktop Tezos wallet
  • Works smoothly without lag or glitches according to QA testers
  • Allows straightforward connection to DApps directly from the browser
Cons
  • Undisclosed injection of referral tracking links across websites, causing privacy and ethical concerns
  • Referral link feature is opt-out but enabled by default without proper notice
  • Referral link redirect causes issues especially with search results, compromising trust
  • Lack of a mobile app version, limiting usability on mobile devices
  • Occasional technical issues reported, such as stuck or pending transactions

this extension appears to be injecting referral links by modifying URLs on arbitrary websites, without disclosing this to the user. this is very sketchy, and likely against the Google Chrome web store's terms of use. Do not use this product. Google should consider removing the extension from their web store, given this abusive behavior.
