en As of ~April 18th, this extension stops sites it "works" on (nytimes, washington post, etc) from letting you save data. AKA it breaks the sites completely, even if disabled. You need to remove it to fix those websites.

en This extension has taught me a lesson (hence, 2 stars instead of 1). We do pay for "free" stuff, even when we don't yet know how. The "cost" of this extension was revealed no later than March 2022, when a 3-star review mentioned that it was secretly adding Amazon affiliate tags. This was a real cost. For the last few years, I couldn't access Amazon coupons available to others. Aside from the app's creators, everyone would've been better off if I'd paid for the publications I used.

Forces you to use it's Amazon affiliate link without telling you. Super shady.

I finally discovered the culprit that was ruining my ability to read some websites, such as Reuters. When visiting Reuters, I noticed that the text content of an article would fully load, and then collapse and disappear, leaving only the images, ads, links, etc. Refreshing would cause the same to happen again, rendering any article on Reuters unreadable. This also happened on other sites, such as Ancient-Origins.net. Through disabling each Chrome extension in turn, I was finally able to determine that the offending one was Unlocker. To be clear: there is no doubt that Unlocker was to blame; I disabled ALL of my other extensions except Unlocker, and it continued to collapse the text; after disabling Unlocker too, this stopped happening. I doubt this is intentional on the part of the developers, but it should be investigated and corrected. Either way, no more Unlocker for me.

Sneaky so and sos, adding amazon referral links to all my Amazon pages without even disclosing such would occur. Dodgy practices to say the least
