It's not the most elegant solution, and it's firing too many requests and getting throttled. Needs to be implemented a little better. Perhaps if Sridatta would be willing to collaborate with me on Github-Omnibox?

Useful, but has a small bug, and no author contact info for me to report it (otherwise I wouldn't post it as a rating). Specifically, on a project's "Network" page, the extension changes the page geometry in a way that interferes with the network pane's mouse position detection. In order to get the commit info on hover, or to click through to a commit, one has to move the mouse above the target by the height of BFF's div. Personally, I wouldn't mind if BFF only reported a newer fork on the repo landing page (the "Code" tab), versus being on every tab. I'll update the rating to five stars when the author fixes that (whether by my proposal, or by some other means).
