| 2024-10-20 |  | | en | Instagram serves much smaller images to low-res devices, e.g. one photo is 823.7 kb on my smart phone, but only 63.4 kb on my laptop. theus.github.io's instantgram bypasses this limitation, but this app does not. Also, using apps like this can get you banned from Instagram. I was given the following warning: We suspect automated behavior on your account To prevent your account from being temporarily restricted or permanently disabled, ensure that no other users or tools have access to your account and that you're following our Terms of Use. Also consider changing your password to a stronger one to prevent unauthorized access to your account by third parties. I got it from using Instaloader and/or DownThemAll (which doesn't work), not this app, but I'm sure it's the same. I also came across a discussion where several people said they got banned because of Instaloader: "I have now lost my second account on instagram for using this script. #1937" |

But it doesn't download ALL images on an instagram account/page. You still need to select them all one by one. There is a page with 2000 posts that I'd like to back up, but I'm not going to click 2000 times... |
