It seems everyone now wants to make their mobile apps, PC software and even Chrome extensions a subscription. When you add these up it's eye watering. Do developers think we are all made of money? One day this business model will shoot itself in the foot. So, farewell to a fantastic tool, I will just have to live without it now. |

I've always loved the cloudHQ functionality! (I also searched my extension reviews, and this is the ONLY one. I have been a supporter, told others about, and recommended cloudHQ for years! ** The email I use/manage is for a non-profit group. I've used and loved "Rename Email Subject" for YEARS - then Oct 10, 2024, it didn't work and I got the popup: "Please upgrade to Rename Email Premium Plan. Upgrade to get unlimited usage (and more). Upgrade for $3.50 USD/month" (Based on reviews, it appears perhaps they reduced the price from $4.99/mo?) This sudden introduction of a monthly subscription on a fundamental function is really dismaying! The ability to simply and easily rename emails has been great. I have also made use of other cloudHQ apps - "Conversation Thread Reversal" is another favorite. I use this Rename function only intermittently, maybe 2x/month. The pricing is not worth it for me - I looked at the option of getting all the functions - most of which I wasn't interested in - and the price seems kind of outrageous. It would be nice to be able to select the extensions I want for tiered pricing. I guess I'll have to go without "Rename Email Subject" from now on - mostly because they changed this to a paid option after so many of us have used it for many many years! Not able to justify it for my organization unless there's a non-profit discount (which I could not find). |
