AI-Powered Efficiency
This extension doesn't replace your judgment; it generates customizable summaries based on resumes and assigns fitness scores for each applicant based on your selected job description.
I tried this tool out in Greenhouse. The natural language prompts let me get specific and the tool uses that to provide additional information that helps me parse a resume (e.g., "The candidate is a Director, which indicates that they may have ___ type of experience, but they don't have experience in __.") This information is pretty useful in pulling out those candidates that may have the type of experience you're looking for, but under a different title than the role requires. This granularity helps me highlight resumes I want to look at more closely. Once the summaries are generated, I can star (i.e., bookmark) the relevant applicants.
I also like that the tool can parse out the most recent title, candidate location, and must-have experiences (you tell AI-cruiter this criterion). This helps trim down resume review time, especially for applicants that aren't relevant to the role, and if I have a high volume.
The summaries take longer than expected (the tool says a few minutes and it took 10+ minutes for a pool of 15-20 applicants).
I have been using this tool with applicants in Lever. I find it very useful for summarizing applicant information in an easily digestible way. It does not replace a real human looking at applicants, it helps bring the most relevant resumes to the top of the funnel.
It's most helpful for me for roles that have 100+ applicants in sorting through those applicants that are not related to the job description. I still need to look at each profile to make sure they actually fit the job description for our highly technical scientific roles.
Overall, I recommend it for roles that have many resumes, especially when many are not actually relevant to the role, as can sometimes happen!
This is a helpful and much-needed tool for reviewing applicants! I have been recruiting for several years and find this extremely useful for summarizing candidate profiles. I love that I'm not restricted to simple keyword searches and can either customize prompts or use default information drawn directly from the relevant job description. Overall the process is smooth and it integrates seamlessly with my ATS (Lever).
It does take a few minutes if you have a lot of resumes to summarize, but it's nice that you can leave it running in the background and move to a different tab while it works. I would like to see more/customizable options for marking candidates (right now there's only the option to "star" a candidate), for example: multiple colors or symbols to indicate different users reviewing the candidate.
Overall, highly recommend! Really handy, and it makes me happy as a busy recruiter that I can get a quick yet comprehensive first pass at candidates!
