en | Since VDH turned into garbage I had been looking for a streaming media addon that just downloads a stream and gets out of the way like VDH used to do. After going through pages of trash addons, this one fits the bill amazingly well and does what it says. I appreciate how transparent it is with in-depth options if needed, clearly labeled download buttons are a godsend. I use this to get podcasts & music to listen to offline or when I'm working on other stuff, to bypass the constant lag and stutter on streaming players. And for ppl who need to know how it's doing, there's a progress % in the title bar of the addon's window, I can mouse over and see the % + MB downloaded at a glance, super helpful. I haven't tried video with it yet but I will try that out soon. Lastly the way this addon automatically adds metadata is incredible, I don't have to manually add a picture or artist info, it's included w/the file so I can add to my albums immediately without going thru metadata hell. Highly highly recommend!! |
