2024-06-18 | Gareth Price | en | Wanted it to fire a Home Assistant webhook to brighten my office lights when I join a meeting. CORS security issues mean the application/json header doesn't get set, so HomeAssistant doesn't decode the payload. There's an updated version on GitHub but more recent Chrome/Meet updates seem to have broken that one as it uses an unsafe method that the most recent Google Meet CORS rejects. Using this version (1.2.2) I was able to fire separate webhooks for active/inactive states and just act on them regardless of payload. Works well enough! | |
