| 2020-10-13 | Grey Mann | | Worst extension ever! I love KeepVid Pro and loaded this extension to have that functionality in Chrome. At first it seemed like a good extension but after it opened a new tab for each download I was somewhat less impressed but proceed to test drive it further. However, after repeated downloads and searches in my file folders I have yet to find where the extension downloads the file. Clicking the help button only takes you to the same page that you get when you try to download a file which is very short on help and only says, ' Finally, click on "Download" button, Now the tool will process the URL and show the option to download the audio or video file into the local storage.' The plugin purpose it seems is to ask for donations for 'poor students' and maybe that is the catch where you have to donate to get more functionality. But it would seem that actually downloading the file to an accessible local folder would be a basic feature of the extension. Oh and before you condemn me as a noob. I ran the help desk at a local university. I also checked again for the files before posting this review. I searched for newly created folders in My Documents, My Music and My Video folders, the default Chrome save folder and the default KeepVid Pro folder but again without success. It will however give you the ability to download the Video's Thumbnail Image to your desired folder but where the videos downloads to is anybody's guess. I give this extension an 'EPIC FAIL'! | |
