en I'm considering moving from Pinboard to Raindrop, so decided to try Raindrop out. The one thing I'm confused about is why the browser (Chrome) extension's icon doesn't change color to indicate that the page has already been bookmarked. It just shows as a white icon regardless if the page has already been bookmarked. Is that feature missing or is this a bug? Or is that a "premium-only" feature?

en The highlights functionality is broken and nowhere close to alternative tools like Glasp. When I highlight something on a page, I want it to be visible and not immediately disappear. I hope the raindrop team can look into improving this.

en The pinned extension icon is a white cloud that looks nothing like the blue cloud that is Raindrop's logo. I have to hunt over and over for the Raindrop extension each time I need it because I keep forgetting that the extension uses a completely different cloud. That single problem ruins this extension. Please update this extension so the Raindrop logo is used!

en IMO its the best bookmarks manager with some extra perks, save images, highlighted articles, and tagging system. Superb!

en I was using Toby (until they decided to go to an absurdly priced paid model for the functionality it has) and looked at several other bookmark/tab manager options out there. Raindrop.io seemed like it had what I was looking for and was worth a try. I wish that I had found it sooner. It's sooooo much better than Toby and free! It works flawlessly in both the chrome browser extension on pc and the android app on both my phone and tablet (which is something Toby fails miserably at). In the chrome browser on pc, just click the extension and select a collection and it's saved (or you could use the sidebar and drag it into a collection). In the chrome browser on android, you just share the page with raindrop and select which collection to put it in. It syncs great. There is an option to select to open bookmarks in the chrome browser. No muss, no fuss. I have saved all my old bookmarks from Toby (over 2,800) into Raindrop and will look no further. I love the layout, the groups, collections and nested collections. It's so easy to find things by looking at the pictures in card view. The search also seems to work exceptionally well. I am very impressed by Raindrop. I will definitely continue using it daily.

en I have been using the app for about 7 months now. I have tried Skeema,Tabmanager.io,Session Buddy,Note GPT Manager etc. This app has so many more useful features. (synching, icons, nested folders, drag&drop etc.). However, there are some features and functions (and no tech support) that are missing. Here are the features and functions that are needed/missing: Each open window does not show by itself in the app. I have 6 open windows with many tabs, and NONE of the windows or tabs show in the Raindrop app anywhere (except in the "all bookmarks" list, but not sub-sorted into each window where the bookmarks/tabs are located. There should be a "sort" by "open windows option). None of my open windows show up in the app, all of the open windows show up in the other apps I have used, but not in this app. How do I save tabs from each separate open window into a new collection/folder? How do you add tabs (or groups of tabs) from current open session windows to a collection or a nested/sub-folder? How to save the tabs in a current open window (session), to a "collection", if they are not even visible because the open window is not showing anywhere in the app? Why does the app not have a menu column/list for separate "open browser windows"? (see Tabmanager.io) There should be a way to show all of the content of open session windows along with all the content of saved session windows in the main "list view" screen. (needs a "session history" menu), so new current session tabs and groups can be dragged and dropped into previous saved session windows collections. Active session browser windows are not offered to merge with a saved session window in the left menu box (to update the folder/window), for example, move all my saved YouTube tabs into a saved window of choice. Being able to merge current windows into a prior collection project window would be a great feature. (this is possible in Tabmanager.io app). I do not see a "merging function" option in the app. Also, there no "save tab groups " option that even shows up in the app. I also do not see any way to add individual " tab groups" to any collections/groups/nested folders. There should be a way to save "tabbed groups" to a "nested folder" in a collection? I think this is a critical missing feature. also, it would be great if you could add a function to add "tab groups" to the "add tabs list" to the pop-up box menu. I think that would solve the issue. I would think the app would have this function integrated by now. There is no way to save a range or group of "highlighted selected tabs", ("shift + click" or "crtl + shift" a group of tabs next to each other) (ie. save (3 tabs), without saving all (17) of the tabs in the address bar.) The app wants to save every tab in the bar. Right now, I can only save each tab one at a time in a collection. Add the ability to bookmark selected tabs only instead of all of them. And it would be great to have a "Save to Raindrop" menu option when we right click on the selected tabs. There needs to be more updated options for saving tabs in the app. Also, after saving a selection of tabs, the tabs just "close". (Developer reply: Unfortunately, highlighted tabs list is not detected yet. Will be improved in future updates. 7/19/2024). I do not see any way to change the color of the group names (or collection font colors or sizes), so they stand out. Right now, they are only a "dull" gray color, very hard to see it. In conclusion the app is really good, except for all the "needed functions" that are not available. if the missing features/functions were added , the app would be a superb 5 star app.

en Raindrop.io lets you save, access, and organize all your bookmarks, everywhere; I think it's THE BEST unified bookmark solution for multiple platforms and devices. I've been using Raindrop.io for almost 10 years, on Windows and Android platforms; laptop, phone, and tablet devices; as a web page, browser extension, and stand-alone app. I've found it very stable. The developer is just one guy, so don't expect new features to rollout twice a week. However, the app is constantly improving and there are TONS of features - go to raindrop.io for details. Most features are available free; for $29 per year you get a bunch of advanced features. You can also use better.raindrop.io to provide feedback or report a bug - that way everyone can benefit from your input. It may or may not be the right bookmark management solution for you, but I have well over 3K bookmarks, and it works great for me.
