The dicription gives the impression that the icon tells you if you have internet. This is wrong. The app opens an extension page that looks like the picture and that page then runs a test. NO ONGOING TEST WILL HAPPEN! If you want an ongoing test, use https://ismyinternetworking.com/ You can use this on any browser (even phones), but you need to look at the page to know if you are connected. It can self-retest, or not...depending on the settings.
