2023-12-27 | Ernesto Feilberg | en | I was hoping it could interact with the content of a web page and search and replace in text fields, forms, and so on. But no. If that's what you're looking for, forget it. It's just a small 'notepad' (a floating text field) with VERY BASIC functionality (no options, no regex, no exclusions, nothing...) to replace text only in that small floating text field. Nothing that any OS's 'notepad' app can't do. (and with more options) Honestly, I don't see the point of its existence, but I also can't give it a lower rating because, well... It does what it claims to do. Although it could be better indicated. Because when you look for an extension, it's usually to expand functionality. And it's reasonable to expect that someone (like me) looking for a browser extension with the keywords 'find replace' is thinking that the extension can interact with the content displayed in the browser, not just offer a function you already have on your PC. Perhaps if it were called 'Find & Replace BOX,' 'Find & Replace FIELD,' 'Find & Replace NOTEPAD LITE,' or something like that, it would be less misleading. But the worst part is the icon. If you use the characters '< >' (opening and closing HTML code) as a representative element of a browser extension, it's reasonable to think that this extension will be able to interact in some way with the content.
2023-11-20 | Lyn Falzone | en | Originally I left a 5-star review with "Perfect; thank you!"; however, now instead of working, this extension brings up a useless blue box. I miss just using the extension and having it work. Now, you have to copy and paste all the text into the blue box (doesn't work with or without the text anyway) and then fill out the 'find' and 'replace' words/phrases, but NOTHING happens! Why was it changed? It was awesome, and working well, as it was--wish it was just left as it was. :(
2023-10-06 | Ramit Bhalla | It's very basic, not really interactive on the page itself. It pops up a box where you can copy/paste text and it'll replace words within that box (not the page itself)

2023-05-23 | Scott Prevett | I took a chance on this extension, and I'm glad I did. It does exactly what it should - just hit CTRL+F in your WYSIWYG window, and it'll find and replace whatever you tell it to with no weird behavior. Kudos to the team that made this!
