2021-10-27 | igor Smirnov | Can't switch in which language to translate.
2021-06-02 | Kkye Hall | I really wanted this to work but the translations were mostly terrible. I checked if it was the database but that website translates without issue. An example was the word "just" being translated to "纯文本的logo" or the word "your" being translated to "[城市将从您的列表中获得]". Clearly there's a bug. I'll keep it installed in the hopes that this issue is resolved at some point.
2021-03-31 | Ashuman Chauhan | This is very beneficial for me. Is there a way via which I can extend the dictionary size beyond 16000? I don't mind performance issues. I need to learn more words than that in the language.
2020-01-03 | Junior BERNARD | Cette extension ne marche absolument pas. Y a-t-il un Konami code pour la faire fonctionner ?
2019-09-29 | Kiron Chakraborty | It seems to working ok, but doesnt add new words to the dictionary. so im kind of stuck with 26 words! any ideas?
2019-09-19 | Константин Батерук | Doesn't work now.
2019-08-10 | David Levy | This is a GENIUS concept for language learning. Unfortunately, it seems to only be a concept. I really hope you have the motivation to negotiate access to dictionaries and solve the context problem. Admittedly it's a lot of work, but if you can get it done, you have made an enormous contribution... and created something of great value.
2019-07-03 | Katie S | This is exactly what I've always dreamed of! Amazing, much helpful, very good, thank you
2019-06-05 | Raminta Urbonavičiūtė | It doesn't work...
2019-05-05 | Becky Zalmanek | So I've been using this to help me learn French because I'm too lazy to make flash cards and go through them. I have a few thoughts and suggestions for anyone who wants to use this extension. -- This is best for learning the VOCABULARY of a language. This will not teach you how to structure sentences or grammar. TIP: With how many nuances and contextual differences are in a language, be careful about what words you have it translate. The program cannot recognize words that have the same spelling but mean completely different things (e.g. "well" as in good and "well" as in a water source are translated into the same word). Make sure you keep on top of your dictionary and I suggest deleting words that can be too ambiguous. -- I have been using Flewent along with the Google Translate extension. This way I can cross check if a newly translated word is correct or could have a better replacement. And again, it helps me catch any words that would cause too much confusion if not translated in the correct context. -- Be patient. It is very slow going at the beginning as the extension finds words to translate. At first it is a trickle but soon you will be adding words quickly to your dictionaries. This extension does exactly what it claims to do and from what I can see, the wonderful author even listens to user feedback to make things better. Flewent is a good tool to use along side other learning instruments. It's not perfect but it's great for helping those who don't have the patience for intense study ease into a new language. |
