It used to be free spelling & grammar check & you had to pay for adjusting the tone, style, plagiarism etc. But the creators got greedy and have to pay off the enormous amounts of AI use and are no longer offering a service for the non paying customer. Shame. Also the constant popups begging for me to give them money are so annoying. |

| 2025-01-14 |  | | en | Decent plugin with some real benefits, but the free version is annoying. Many of even the most basic suggestions are hidden, telling you to get Grammarly pro to see them. Also you have to reload the page when enabling or disabling the extension - really?! And often it just does so without even asking you first. Also many of the suggestions are stylistic and, in my view, bad. Grammarly really loves removing words like "actually" or "really", even though they are often crucial for the flow of a text, and removing them changes the meaning. One obvious thing that would be super helpful is to offer good synonyms, but this feature oddly does not seem to exist. |
