Participants are invited via email or while browsing the website of the company/organization that wants to perform the study. Then, if the study requires the UserZoom Surveys extension, the participant is requested to install it.

Its temperamental in my view compared to the ease with which it meant I used to complete surveys. Its encountered more errors than not for me, especially this week with a particular Linkedin survey that denied me payment as it failed.

Google says: "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." Good riddance, if that happens. It won't even install now. According to its website, the thing hasn't been updated since 2021. Since formerly OK separate and competitive UserZoom merged with Usertesting, it's become a hot mess. People complain about it clawing back money for otherwise valid test completions. I don't bother anymore.
