en | I was originally using the "Tabs to the Front" extension, but after it was hijacked by the sketchy "AI Tab Optimizer Plus" extension that asked for a bunch of unnecessary permissions, I went looking for a new tab extension. I originally tried out the "Tabs to Front v2" extension. But I was looking for an extension that you could temporarily disable by pressing a key like Ctrl while opening a new tab (e.g. if I wanted to open several links on a page in new tabs in the background). The developer of "Tabs to Front v2" said that he is doing his best to keep it working, but will not be adding any new features. I then found this brand new DipiTabsToTheFront extension. I am happy to see that DipiTabsToTheFront just added this capability to temporarily disable it by pressing the Ctrl key!!! Thanks for adding this feature! It is unfortunate that this functionality requires the "read and modify data on all websites" permission, but that must be what it takes to do this function. You can also disable/enable the extension by clicking its extension icon, but if you do that you need to remember to click it again to re-enable it. This extension does exactly what I need it to do. |
