2024-03-24 | Dan Samsungle | en | QUIZZES are slow bad, too easy to guess the answer. my times seen function always stays at one. at least it keeps track of words for free unlike langreactor

2024-01-12 | Konan Gauld | en | As a pop up dictionary it works and looks great. Features like the video auto-pausing on hover and resume on cursor exit, the words being separated visually, "times seen" for each word etc are great. And I'm sure many will appreciate being able to download an extension that doesn't have to be set up rather than configuring something like Yomichan and manually finding dictionaries, which can be a pain and is a barrier to entry. However, it would be better if these features were focused on and expanded upon rather than trying to be another Migaku like service that tries to make its own SRS system that is invariably worse than just connecting to Anki . Why not use AnkiConnect and let us create cards that way? And supposing I don't want to, why would I use this service over something like Migaku which has similar features, but a better built in SRS system (even if it's still not great)? "Quizzing" instead of simply reviewing the words was a really bad design choice, it makes it far too easy to guess what the word is from context instead of having to actually recall it. Maybe it's more comfortable, but in terms of actually learning and retaining vocab it's a pretty useless system. Reminds me of the mobile apps like Duolingo, which are fun, but they are ruthlessly inefficient ways to learn. I apologise for being so critical but I want to provide some helpful feedback because you guys have built some useful tools. I just think trying to develop your own SRS is a misallocation of resources

2023-12-14 | Yamin Nandar | en | that is amazing. It would be amazing if this can work on Crunchyroll.
2023-12-12 | Santiago Oyarbide Fernandez | en | Awesome extension! It'll definitely improve your japanese immersion routine. There's only a few features that I would add in the near future: 1. Anki connection for Sentence Mining. 2. More compatiblity with other websites rather that only Youtube or Netflix, like Animelon or Crunchyroll. If those features are added in the near future, this extension will be the best out there for learning japanese.

2023-12-04 | 月影 | en | Hope to add the following two functions: 1、It would be much better if it were possible to upload our own subtitles, as those created using Whisper are much more accurate than the auto-generated subtitles on YouTube. 2、Upon enabling the feature to upload custom subtitles, it would be beneficial to make iago compatible with Crunchyroll as well. This way, if certain anime cannot be found on Netflix or YouTube, they can be watched on Crunchyroll with Japanese subtitles created using Whisper.
2023-10-12 | Doinkaesthetics | A little finicky, but it seems nice. I hope you can add this extension to KickAssAnime.am soon, since that's my go-to anime website. |
