After enabling the equalizer yesterday, it hijacked my browser's search, which was set to Google. Instead, any search done through the address bar goes to some site called janextupd and then quickly switches to Yahoo search. Disabling the extension returns everything back to normal. It did not happen when I used this extension before, so it very well may be a recent thing. Still, be aware.
