It's easy to create new cards as needed and I've enjoyed being to limit a card's use to a one-time purchase so I don't have the number sitting there, available to use. I do wish I could be exact with the spending limits, instead of being limited to their set intervals, so my $736 purchase didn't have to be on a card authorized as a $755 purchase limit, but that's a minor issue and doesn't give any reason to consider not using this website. |

en | If you can manage a cash balance type of a situation this is for you absolutely 100%. By that I mean this is more like a debit card - cash leaves your bank account no 30 days to pay, no minimum payment - the cash be out the door. That had to be said - now if you can manage that, you need this service. I make a new card for everything online, everything. I know what I spend on all the different subscriptions and with who and when they bill me. I buy stuff from crazy web sites I'd never give my real credit card (ok not THAT shady) - but sites I have never heard of that have something cool - now I can set a limit of what I am expecting to pay - It won't, they CAN'T, charge more. If it is a scam - you'll see a pile of declines from other places trigger because some hacker site just shared the cc number - but no charges get though as it locked the one time payment to the one vendor. I use this service for literally all online payments and over the phone too. I am one of those people that actually knows my full CC number exp and 3 digit code off the top of my head - I am a huge cc user. With privacy.com I may end up forgetting my real cc number. |
