2025-01-10 | Joshua Drost | en | Great extension, but it seems to have a maximum number of entries? I got to the point where all my old tab titles still worked, and new tab titles showed up in the extension settings. But new tab titles weren't actually being processed on the tab. Either there are a maximum number of entries, or Chrome stops the extension if it doesn't find the title fast enough. I had to reinstall to clear out all my old entries, but most of them were junk anyways.

2024-06-06 | Brandon Morris | en | Excellent! As simple as you want it to be or as powerful as you need it to be with wildcards and RegEx replacement (in beta)! I had forgotten I had some tabs renamed with it that it is so non-intrusive! It wasn't until I wanted to add a tab to be renamed that I saw I had previous entries already added :) The fact that the source is hosted on GitHub for verification of security is a VERY nice bonus too! Here's a use-case: Lots of times, the user has many tabs open when working on a particular task. However, site developers don't always give a title, to the sub-page, a name / description, that shows up in the browser's title bar, as something that's easily distinguishable from the other tabs related to the same task. This is usually done for polish, but from a user-productivity standpoint, it's not so great. Renaming the tabs to be more specific, so that when you are visually-scanning through a browser's tabs along the top, you can quickly get to the tab you need making multi-tab workflows a breeze!

2023-04-12 | jsosmd | en | PRO: nice GUI; persistent re-titling; was fixed to work even if new title is pasted in containing several lines of text; CON: does not work with all sites, such as TitanTV.com - which (unfortunately) I need to use quite frequently. [Windows 11, Vivaldi 6.5] |
