Spotify Song Announcer is a Chrome extension that plays a verbal announcement when the song changes on Spotify. It provides intro, outro, or both announcements and works on the desktop layout of https://open.spotify.com. You can choose voice options, control volume, and refresh the Spotify tab for changes to take effect.

This extension plays a verbal announcement when the song changes on Spotify. This is useful if you have Spotify minimized and what to know more about the songs that are playing. You can choose to have either an intro, outro, or both play. Currently the extension only works on the desktop layout on https://open.spotify.com, and will not work in the mobile view.

Example #1 (Intro only): Now playing My Sacrifice by Creed. Example #2 (Outro only): That was My Sacrifice by Creed. Example #3 (Both): That was My Sacrifice by Creed. Now playing Big Yellow Taxi by Counting Crows.

There are a few different voice options and you can control the volume by clicking the extension icon. After saving, you will need to refresh your Spotify tab to have the changes take effect.
