Arkanoid is a video game of Arcadian developed by Taito in 1986. It is based on the Breakout from Atari of the 70s.
Arkanoid is a classic game of consoles and arcade machines.
How is played Arkanoid?
Move around the screen to bounce the ball and destroy all the bricks you see. Look closely at the bonuses that fall from some of the bricks, some awards are good for you, but others may not be so much, so it's important to remember what the good and which the bad.
The player controls a small platform, known as "Spaceship Vaus" which prevents a ball leaves the playing area, making it bounce. At the top there are "bricks" or "blocks", which disappear when touched by the ball.
When no brick remains, the player moves to the next level, where another block pattern appears. Each time a player passes the screen the level of difficulty increases, further engaging the user. There are different variations (bricks that must be hit several times to disappear, enemy ships, etc.) and capsules that improve the Vaus:
- Blue: expanding it, Red: equipping it with a laser cannon,
- Pink: going straight to the next level,
- Light Blue: increasing the number of balls,
- Lead: to increase lives,
- Green: catch ball,
- Orange: slower ball.
All levels are truly colourful and have their own style. There are small figures that can be hit by some points and are even different for each level. There are 3 ships at the beginning, and after all are lost, you must start again from the beginning. At No. 33 screen, the last level, the player faces the main enemy of the game, Doh. Once the player reaches this level, you must beat Doh with the number of Vauses you have in reserve, if not, the game ends and the player has lost.
