2024-10-17 | Michael Pratt | en | Been using for 4 years now, and while there were some initial bugs and missing features, pretty much everything works great on this. As they grow and Chrome updates, sometimes things break, but they have always been relatively fast at fixing the issues. For a commenting tool for websites, this works perfectly for my web design and development business as well as my consulting business where we create AI apps for some clients and can have them leave comments on demos with this, etc. I am not sure what is up with the notice that this app is not following the most recent guidelines, it seems to still work (except for one client, who cannot login) so it does seem like there are some issues. Hopefully it is updated soon. But cannot recommend this app enough. It is HIGHLY worth the upgrade if you have an agency as well.
2024-02-27 | Cooper Terrones | en | can you support the Arc browser? Might be a bug with first installation, but when I click the extension in Arc, nothing happens.
2021-08-23 | Mike JoPa Mi | **** UPDATE **** 8/28/2021 Updating rating from 3 stars to 4. Volley has been a really useful tool. It bugs out sometimes though. They fixed a lot of the issues below, but there are a couple that are new, or persist. 1. Being randomly logged out of the project. When working I get logged out when I try to submit or complete a task. (This is supposedly fixed in the next version: 1.16, but I havent gotten it yet, its been about a week) 2. The new draw feature is great, but if you try to upload a file in the draw section it gets lost. Client added like 50 tasks with files, only to find out none of the files actually came through to my end (project end) and is really upset that he has to do it all over again. Literally no response after they confirmed it was an issue. The New good: 1. The draw feature works as expected (minus the file upload fiasco) 2. The different ways to categorize a task (in progress, completed, in review, etc.) is more helpful that I thought it was going to be. 3. The widget you can add to the website is brilliant. Hope they decide to make it a plugin so it can be automatically installed on new websites (Plesk lets me preinstall plugins on new WP sites) ***** Original Dec. 10, 2020 ***** OK, so first the good: 1. It is relatively easy to use and my clients kind of like it. Some struggle to get it going if they are not very tech savvy. 2. Once setup and the clients are using it it makes it really easy to figure out what they want, and really does save a lot of time with some of them. This is the 3 stars. And the bad: 1. Having to sign in each time I try to use it is really frustrating. Some said every time they log back in, but it seems like for me, every time I try to use it. 2. It is not easy to figure out how to get back to the project for the clients, I do not know how to fix this and there might not be a solution. 3. I do not get notifications unless someone tags me. Again, I do not want 30 notifications when someone goes into it and adds some things, but I also want to know that someone made changes. Maybe send one notification per project per day UNLESS I am tagged? 4. This is my most frustrating one, it should actually be #1, it does NOT tell you what page they are working on, only the screen shot, so if you have a lot of pages with a lot of similar content, this is extraordinarily frustrating. I see they added the domain, which OK that is better, but I want the exact URL (most clients only have one domain) so I can just click on it and go right to that page they were on when they left a comment. Figuring this out slows the process down on almost EVERY SINGLE task. Especially if my client likes to jump around the site, instead of doing one page at a time, which is unfortunately common. 5. I know this is on the roadmap, but it cannot get here soon enough, the ability to draw/annotate would be hugely helpful, and is what makes this tool lacking in a large way. Fixing #'s 1, 3 and 4 would make this a 5 star app.

2020-12-14 | Ben Andersen | Really easy way to talk to clients about website changes. Love this tool! It does need some improvements but the basic stuff is there and it is already usable. Perfect for a freelance webdev like me!

2020-12-13 | John Webster | Where were you my whole life? Seriously there are plenty of tools to assist with client feedback but Volley is so simple for my clients to use that it actually gets used. Sure, I wish there were a couple more bells and whistles but I think the simplicity allows my most technically challenged clients to use the tool. It is now my goto custom collaboration tool.

2020-12-11 | Kimberly Hanson | I love Volley. It has reduced my editing time and elimiated revision requests from getting lost in multiple email threads. I would like to for the client onboarding process to be more detailed so a client can self-start without me having them to teach them how to start via Zoom meeting. All my clients I have shared projects with end up loving Volley once they understand how to navigate. Projects run more effieciently now that I can go through client comments and mark them as complete. Clients also love this because they can visually see that their changes are complete and progress is being made. It would be nice if a client did not have the ability to mark tasks as complete. I was not aware they could do this. I often tag myself in Volley when I see something. A client read my comments and agreed so she marked them all as completed. I then had a difficult time going back through completed tasks to figure out what was not completed. Overall, I feel Volley is brilliant and love using it with clients.
