Spoofs IP to Hong Kong from the 2023-02-27 update, this causes me to lose my Bing Rewards level because of the "new timezone" and made it harder to keep track of other stuffs (Bing Rewards, unlike Bing Chat, doesn't reset at 12AM Pacific Time but is dependent on the IP it thinks you are located in). Bing Search had would always detect my IP properly before the newest update. It was amazing before this update, not sure why the dev thought it was a good idea to force this implementation. It also made the Bing Chat interface with traditional Chinese characters so it's a pain to deal with. While I was troubleshooting this, changing my location in Bing Search settings, Microsoft MAPs wouldn't do a thing because this extension would override everything. I have to disable the extension every time I use Bing Chat. This just makes no sense. I want to use Bing Chat and Bing Search in conjunction (without pretending that I'm in Hong Kong) because I can farm points more easily like that. Edit (1): I read the GitHub page and it seems that the dev added the IP circumvention in order to make the extension more accessible to Chinese users of the mainland. (And the dev should honestly add the changes in the extension store page changelog instead of just GitHub) Edit (2): OK Now I'm less mad now after sideloading the extension manually via dev mode (Thankfully this extension is open-source and you can find the older versions on GitHub). But it would have been better if the developer still implemented the option to choose to opt in for spoofing the IP or not. (As it's hard to recommend this extension for the non tech literate friends), and access to the newer features (like chat history, and db export feature). P.S.: I like the older export menu design better because I use a display setting of 225%, the newer context menu takes too much space as it doesn't scale nicely.
