2021-03-17 | Jay Best | OK! So this DOES work, you have to close and reopen Chrome for this to work. It does not work for the Auto Generated CC which is fair enough, it says this in the description. Extract format is srt which can be a bit tricky to play with, it is all time stamped etc. You can then clean it up using https://www.happyscribe.com/subtitle-tools/convert-srt-to-text If you just want the text from the video. I have used Seek Subtitles for Youtube app, then I toggle the timestamps on or off, and select the text and cut and paste into text instead. I suspect that there are ways to download the autogenerated text as well, and can even edit and upload corrected text, just not sure how this works. Overall this is an OK app, but not intuitive, and the button to download exists as a link on the YouTube page, rather than on the button itself. | ||
