en for those who are not able to use the extension after chrome update, you can try to change \ to %5C, i.e. localexplorer:%5C%5C<server> for developers, you can use encodeURIComponent to encode the URL

en After the Chrome 130.x upgrade, this plug-in doesn't work if the path is for a network drive (i.e. path starts with \\). URL doesn't work: localexplorer:\\my-server\aaa\bbb\ URL works: localexplorer:C:\aaa\bbb\ A solution would be mapping your network drive to a local drive first, e.g. mapping \\my-server\ to your T: drive. Then set the URL as localexplorer:T:\aaa\bbb\

en It used to be a great add-on to Chrome but lately it became quite cumbersome to manage whenever there is a new Windows update, it stops working and even after several reinstall it still doesn't work.

en The extension doesn't open links to network paths (file://server/folder)anymore since google chrome version 127.0.6533.73. In version 126.0.6478.183 it still works. No problems for local paths

en I have upvoted all comments mentioning that it does not work in the new version of Chrome when trying to open network paths. I had to switch to using Firefox, hopefully temporarily.
