2024-11-21 | Leo Kan | en | for those who are not able to use the extension after chrome update, you can try to change \ to %5C, i.e. localexplorer:%5C%5C<server> for developers, you can use encodeURIComponent to encode the URL
2024-10-31 | Haoran Zhu | en | After the Chrome 130.x upgrade, this plug-in doesn't work if the path is for a network drive (i.e. path starts with \\). URL doesn't work: localexplorer:\\my-server\aaa\bbb\ URL works: localexplorer:C:\aaa\bbb\ A solution would be mapping your network drive to a local drive first, e.g. mapping \\my-server\ to your T: drive. Then set the URL as localexplorer:T:\aaa\bbb\
2024-10-29 | Rico Ebol | en | It used to be a great add-on to Chrome but lately it became quite cumbersome to manage whenever there is a new Windows update, it stops working and even after several reinstall it still doesn't work.
2024-08-06 | Bart Laureys | en | The extension doesn't open links to network paths (file://server/folder)anymore since google chrome version 127.0.6533.73. In version 126.0.6478.183 it still works. No problems for local paths

2024-10-23 | David Hayriyan | en | I have upvoted all comments mentioning that it does not work in the new version of Chrome when trying to open network paths. I had to switch to using Firefox, hopefully temporarily.
2024-10-21 | Martin Koenig | en | @Shantanu We have the same problem. How did you add Chrome Extension to Firefox?
2024-10-21 | Shantanu Nag | en | Yes we love this extension but as of last friday 10/18/24 it has stopped working. when ever you click on a link on a web page which is defined as LocalExplorer:\\<server>\<share>\<folder> it open a blank chrome page and the URL says about:blank#blocked Please anyone has found any workaround. I have tried on firefox and seems like it is working fine. So switching to Firefox for now.
