This is a chrome extension which automatically transcribes summarizes the content of the videos I watch. 🧠 Not just that, it can also save the markdown files for easy editing. ✨
I decided to take things a little further and added the feature for it to directly store the transcriptions and summary to Capacities as well! 📝

I'll second what Geoff said. I saw the negative reviews but saw Geoff's positive one, so I gave the extension a try. All I'll say is the extension works exactly as expected and is a very nice resource. Thank you to the developer for building this.
I've recently begun my Capacities.io adventure and was learning how to use the tools that were built for it. I was excited to try the YouTube summarizer here but did see some of the negative reviews. I tried it anyways and experienced something similar. It seemed something in the ChatGPT API had changed since the dev originally built it. So I pinged the dev and told him what was going on for me. He replied the next day and 4 days later he had a fix in place. I encourage everyone else who tried this and was disappointed to give it another chance and consider revising your review if it is now working as expected. I appreciate the young developer for his timely communication and ability to resolve the issues.
And now I am getting very rich summary text for the YouTube videos I save to Capacities using this. I'm very pleased!
No longer saves the generated transcript. Clicking "save to capacities" or "save HTML" will generate a clean transcript but the results are not saved anywhere. This used to work, but something broke it.
