All you have to do is click the button next to the search box, the little icon that looks like a pencil and paper, and then you can change to google, yahoo, bing whatever you want. I enjoy how you can change the logo on the bookmarked sites, however I would enjoy it more if the search bar had a look that merged with the rest of the page a lot better. |

I, like others, go to a lot of trouble to keep AI out of my software as much as possible. How to revert or get the earlier functional version back without the controls imposed by automated gunk? The extension used to be customizable, but now forces users to use its photo wallpaper, cannot save settings, and so forces dimmed "night" colors, and imposes notifications from social media whether you want them or not. You cannot prevent it from loading Google calendar material into the front middle of the home page, and imposes a "Google Search" bar into the top middle of every new tab. Also, there is no support if you request it from the developer's reporting page. Previous review: I rely on it completely. It worries me that Google is currently threatening to disable it. My hope is that the developer is able to modify it in whatever way Google goons require without undoing what makes it so useful. |
