2024-10-24 | autumn sevier | en | been using "awesome new tab page" for the better part of 15 years or so but since that might no longer work soon i'm looking for an alternative... this seems pretty neat and easy enough to use. i however wish gmail properly filled in its own icon the way youtube does cause anything i find really doesn't look right since the transparent backgrounds on them aren't actually transparent. outside of that i just wish syncing was free , its sorta ridiculous something like that doesn't transfer between PCs , but whatever i'll just import/export . i'm not gonna pay for an extension i might not keep using even if its a neat one otherwise. update: after trying to use this for the better part of a week or so idk if i'll be keeping this ,.. every other time i try to load a new tab with this i end up with some sorta crash and it shows me a pic of a paper with a knocked over/dead bird as its icon/image. idk if its cause i'm using a set of custom icons on the page itself for shortcuts since it doesn't seem to auto fill certain ones or what but its super annoying and i'm ready to go back to my old standard or something else since frankly that hadn't imported right for years either.... a shame cause this looks nice but having to refresh almost every time if not twice when you wann open a new tab is a bit well...not good . as a result i'm deducting a star , i will say the dev's replay about non-free syncing was understandable at least, but maybe make a working product before asking for money?

2024-09-26 | Marcie Welch | en | I'm not sure the technical way to describe this, but, I have a widescreen monitor that I can fit two windows into side by side. When my browser screen is not full screened, the new tab bugs out instead of fitting to the page. The "center" ends up all the way to the right and just adds a scrollbar to the bottom. It doesn't just fit or conform like other pages would. Unfortunately for me and a lot of other widescreen users that is a deal breaker. I'm also sad to see the ones that were the coolest looking and advertised on Reddit as being "free to use" are behind a pretty pricey paywall (~$20 bucks for a year for pro, or ~$50 pro for life) considering how many other cheaper competitors are out there. After seeing the Witcher one I was really excited to come use it, and I was more than excited to support a small dev. I'd probably have paid around $10-$15 yearly for it, but with the high price, lack of widescreen use (and now I can't even confirm the Witcher one would work on my widescreen without paying first, so that sucks) and just overall bait the dev used on Reddit, I have deleted and moved on.
2024-09-23 | Sara Scott | en | It's a really nice new tab page, but unfortunately I can't get the RSS widget to work. It always says "error loading RSS data" even with RSS links I know work correctly.
2024-09-02 | Govind Singh | en | it is Good but Some live wallpaper should be free Otherwise it is good . I really Love it |
