To find, click your windows button on the bottom left and type registry editor. Do this on your desktop, the chrome browser does not need to be opened for this. A window will open asking if you want to allow this app to make changes to your computer. click yes. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\ExtensionInstallForcelist Delete the extension ID On my computer the id was "dlljemmfdaoilbnjhipcpnekjhdohmdn" It may be different on your computer. if your not sure you can delete everything except the one that says default. Done. second method (workaround if first method doesn't work not recommended) open your file system and go to C:\Users\ "your user name" \AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions Delete the folder with the extension id: "dlljemmfdaoilbnjhipcpnekjhdohmdn" it may be different on your computer Go back one directory and right click the Extensions folder. Select properties, security, edit, Select administrators then check the box that says deny, then click apply and ok I hope this works for you. i am not a computer expert. Was able to read all my passwords, thank god I didn't have my bank information. Google really has to do something with not letting extensions see you passwords and stuff. I was able to remove it by going into regedit and deleting all of the subcategories in chrome. | |
