It mutes the other audio instead of pausing it, which i guess makes sense given the name, but if the audio is not playing, it doesn't need to play at all taking up internet data. Ideally, this would be an option to toggle. | |

When you click on the icon, you get a small popup which shows what's playing. Just click the pause button and Silence!! It takes 2-3 seconds. It also lets you go right to that tab if you want, but you can silence it right in the popup. The BEST thing is that this app finds the playing tab no matter what window it's in, if you have multiple windows open. | |

It gives you the ability to open multiple tabs but only hear sound from the one with focus. Note that chrome itself requires apps be set to enabled for incognito mode. As a bonus, if you drag and separate a tab from the main tab group it operates independently - so you can still stream music in one tab and be jumping between tabs in separate group. |
