Have no idea what the complaints are about. I had opened about 50 pdf tabs open, needed them separated into two 25 tab pdf windows, did the thing perfectly. I use mine side-by-side all the time. Resizing isn't an issue, just slam the window up if you want it fullscreen, to the left or right if you want halfscreen.

Why does it need my browsing history? You dont need that in order to split my tabs. Looks fishy.
2020-02-02 Christian Gilbert Instead of splitting tab view, it split the whole Chrome and you end up losing tabs open on the left of current tab because they are opened in a new window. The demo shows current tab only been opened in next window. I had to reopen 5 tabs split to new windows cause there is no option to undo. Just choose to open the tab in a new window, it will do the same without waste of time.

I love this! It's especially useful during report card writing time. I can have ideas for remarks on one side and my report card template on the other. So useful.

You may not be aware that Chrome has a built-in feature to do what this extension does. Simply click on the starting tab of the ones you want to split off, then shift-click on the last tab of the ones you want to split off. Then all the tabs you want to split off will be selected. Then you just drag-and-drop the selected tabs into another window, or drag into blank space to create a new window. This extension does save a few clicks though.
2018-09-10 Victoria Great at snipping (which I find useful for when I want to create a new Desktop on OSX, or if my tab divider app crashes and all my tabs reassemble themselves in a single window), but I find that only one of the windows preserves Chrome's application and bookmarks toolbar. Not sure if it's a bug or if there's a setting I can flip to fix this, but it's annoying to have to manually create a new window and drag the tabs back into the new window if I want to e.g. select which folder my new bookmarks are saved in, or use any of my applications with a shortcut.
