As always the Dev replied by avoiding addressing the issue and talking nonsense. Original comment: I have vast experience with this extension and I can tell you with 100% guarantee if you are not a patreon member this extension will break your youtube. I can tell you that because when I was paying patreon for 1 month, no problems at all, BUT when I was using of this extension before i paid AND after I stopped the patreon, problems erupt instantly. This time it literally made my YouTube unaccessible, I kept getting "Unavailable offline" "Please connect to internet" no matter what device I tried to access YouTube on. Weird thing is every single website worked except YouTube. I even got into contact with Youtube and my ISP. But the ONLY thing, that worked is disabling this extension and waiting for 10-24 hours. And I’ve observed this multiple times, whenever I enable this extension and leave youtube in background and use it for a wihle, i get the "unavailable offline" "please connect to internet" message again and youtube becomes inaccessible. This is my final straw, I disabled this extension and waiting again. Dont make the mistake, this extension is horrendous. Reply to the dev: You tell me that, why are you asking me? Again if you read what i Said, this is the SECOND TIME this happened. The 1st issue was completely different before I went paid on Patreon. At that time your extension literally overloads YouTube by scraping or whatever and I am unable to access YouTube. The 2nd time after I stopped using Patreon is the nonsense "Unavailable offline" and "Please connect to Internet" because of your extension. And guess what ever since I stopped your extension, it NEVER happened again. Your extension is horrible. |
| 2024-11-02 |  | | en | The extension has been very janky so far. Sometimes PocketTube won't load my playlists, and sometimes it doesn't load them all. Sometimes it will show the playlists that I've added to each group, and sometimes it will show the group as empty. It has been a terrible experience. Especially since I forked out a little more than $30 to unlock all the features. And let's talk about that. Requiring a monthly or yearly subscription for a few additional features is ridiculous. There's no reason why I shouldn't be able to make a one-time purchase for those features. It's a shame extensions like these are even necessary to begin with. Alphabet should have these features natively in YouTube. I'm going to add these extensions to Firefox and pray they work properly. If not, then I'm getting a refund on my money. Edit: I find it funny that the developer responds to any and all criticism about the subscription model with the same tired line. Especially when he either copy pasted it without editing or didn't read the review in its entirety. Edit 2: A Teja reported above, I too am getting the "Unavailable Offline" bug now. Disabling the extension fixes the issue. I'm requesting a refund and removing the extensions. While I like the functionality they bring, the entire experience has been horrendous and not worth the aggravation. |

| 2024-10-21 |  | | en | Thank you! Been using this for a little while now since YouTube removed playlists listing from the left side of the screen in favor of a separate page for it! There is one undesirable interaction with the extension "Unhook - Remove YouTube Recommended & Shorts" : the "Redirect to subscriptions" option in Unhook(which I use) redirects to subscriptions when clicking on playlists on the left menu. Not sure if this is something can be sorted out. Though I would understand if not, since it's another dev/extension. But all-in-all, cheers! |
