Ian Worthington		 en With all the changes to the chromium world, many of the mailto extensions have stopped working. However, the cloudHQ app works. It does so by opening a tab of gmail, then opening a compose window within gmail. I don't like that it opens the entirety of gmail. But right now, this is the only extension I can find that will process a mailto link.

I use Arc Browser, and after installing gmail-Mailto by CloudHQ, viola, when clicking mailto: links my pinned gmail tab pops up, opens an email for compose, and I'm good to go. Excellent! Thank you!

Alex		 en Having it open Gmail in a new tab is only working for me if I already have gmail open. The first time I click an email link it opens Gmail in a new tab. If I click it again, it composes a new email and fills in the email. I have gone into the extension settings and set a preferred email etc. If I set it to open the link in a new window, it works.

However in the Chrome Developer Console it prints out the following message so that disturbs my development experience on my own apps quite a bit: [Deprecation] Listener added for a synchronous 'DOMNodeInserted' DOM Mutation Event. This event type is deprecated (https://w3c.github.io/uievents/#legacy-event-types) and work is underway to remove it from this browser. Usage of this event listener will cause performance issues today, and represents a risk of future incompatibility. Consider using MutationObserver instead. The incriminated file is main_gmail_mailto_impl.js:168
