2016-07-28 | A Google user | It's fun to finally have some insight into what a web page is doing while it loads content and pings servers around the world... but I think there's more to this extension than that. Through sound it makes visible the hidden world of web advertising, behavior tracking, cross-site spying. The choice of a modern Casino as a sound-bed makes the point beautifully: the web is almost entirely commercial now, and with every click, you're pulling a lever, making a gamble with your privacy... and not on the receiving end of the payout. The house always wins, after all! | ||
