2020-11-20 | Ricky Davis | A game changer for sure; this may be one of the more helpful extensions to keep around. Please note, it's important to follow the directions, as there's a bit of room for user error. When the extension is first installed, be sure to restart Google Chrome. As it may not work otherwise. A really cool feature I appreciate is being able to filter by year. If you filter your posts by year via your Activity Log on Facebook, you'll find Forgetbook only deletes those posts. Note, if your speed is too high, it may require a restart depending on the types of posts it's deleting. At least for me. For example, on multiple posts from 2009, Facebook provided a pop-up asking me if I wanted to "Trash" the items Forgetbook was trying to get rid of. If you don't consistently hit delete when the pop-up shows, Forgetbook may get backed up in a sense, and need a restart. It's quick, efficient, and requires little work from the user. If you lack the time and patience to manually go through each painstaking year, each post, each link and react....I HIGHLY recommend this Chrome Extension. In a society lacking in privacy, Forgetbook may just be the saving grace we didn't expect. | ||
