en | Simple, useful and helpful. Anybody not aware of this extension or addon does, let me tell you that this add an option to search with this search engine (here duckduckgo) when you select a text anywhere while browsing and right click on it and a small popup opens up where you get option to "Search with DuckDuckGo". This is helpful you want to use duckduckgo as a secondary search engine and not as default or first engine if you are using google or bing or brave search or ghostery search engine as default. Somebody here saying this as malware has simply not used it nor cared to know how to use this. I hope dev adds this extension to edge addon store and firefox addon store too for other browsers than chrome. Also, sam dev has created same for brave search to make it as third optional search engine (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/brave-search/jojedekgcncccnjhilimdojbfnfamkda). I use all of them due to the nature of my work of research and not limiting to google filtered and controlled searches. |

I suspect this is malware. DDG is already included as a search engine by default in Chrome and most Chromium-based browsers. Just switch to it from settings. Don't trust unofficial apps like this. | |
