Review summary

Users find the Webpage Screenshot extension easy to use and useful for capturing full-page screenshots, especially before recent updates. However, many complain that after updates it often freezes, fails to capture the entire page, produces low-quality or distorted images, and behaves annoyingly by opening the company's website automatically. Some appreciate improved sharing and window selection features but overall the extension's recent updates have severely affected its reliability and user experience.
Pros
  • Easy to use and works well when functioning properly
  • Allows capturing full webpage screenshots
  • Has sharing capabilities
  • Provides option to select any open window, not just the browser tab
Cons
  • Recent updates have broken core functionality, causing it to not capture screenshots or freeze
  • Screenshots are sometimes fuzzy, lack clarity or have visual artifacts
  • Does not always capture the entire webpage, cutting off vital information or filling the rest with black
  • Annoying behavior of opening company's website upon browser start
  • Lack of customizable settings such as hotkeys, format, or image quality

en I just tried 📷 Webpage Screenshot. I took a full page screenshot, but the captured image was fuzzy and lacked clarity. What's even worse, the menu line at the top of the page I was capturing also got bizarrely superimposed in the middle of the captured image! This is dreadful... 🙀 Compared to that, the other extension I tried (📷 GoFullPage) captured the whole page _perfectly_ with no loss of resolution, and no weird artifacts. It gave me downloading options of either an image (default is PNG but you can go into [⚙️Options] and choose JPG), or as a PDF. You can do both as well. For these reasons, I am now uninstalling Webpage Screenshot and will stick with GoFullPage instead!

en Not working. I click the "Whole Page Screenshot" button and it just scans the whole page, reaches the bottom, and the page freezes. No image file provided.
