2024-03-09 | Michael Price | en | Bottom line, Dollar Eighty is a sham, beware. It is worse than a sham, but proving it is at least a sham is extraordinarily easy and not remotely debatable. The biggest issue is how it claims to be "...an approved third party software provider to Facebook & Instagram." As a matter of fact, it is not. Regardless of how many times Dollar Eighty claims to be an approved software provider, it most certainly is not. This can easily be determined, objectively mind you, by looking at the Meta maintained page for approved third party software provider. I found this page after Meta support directed me to it when I inquired with Meta to attempt to confirm the claims Dollar Eighty makes about being approved for use with Facebook and Instagram. The Meta support staff directed me to https://www.facebook.com/business/help/250597937460549 where any user can check to see if a provider is in fact approved by Meta. Dollar Eighty is not approved. What's worse, when communicating with Dollar Eighty support, and faced with this same information, they will still claim they are approved. They claim to have been through an extensive vetting and partnership process with Meta establishing their position as an approved provider. When pressed for any proof, any documentation, anything whatsoever to corroborate their claim, they refused. Why would Dollar Eighty refuse to provide any proof that would support their claims of being an approved software provider? If they were honest and they had been through that process, it would be extraordinarily easy for them to prove it. I mention all of this and offer a sincere WARNING to all users, or potential users, since if you use Dollar Eighty, you will run the risk of having your Meta supported profiles (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) permanently removed for using Dollar Eighty. As opposed to Dollar Eighty, I can provide this proof since I experienced this personally with Meta and have the screen shots to prove it AND the email exchange with Dollar Eighty showing their refusal to provide any proof of their alleged relationship with Meta. Worst of all? They have no functional customer service to support administrative or technical issues. It is a very small business based in New Zealand and his extremely reluctant to communicate or provide refunds. After my communication with Meta, when I went back to Dollar Eighty to tell them what I found, they prematurely cancelled my account (without my having asked for them to do so), refunded a partial portion of the money spent on their service, and cut off direct communication although they still send me their automated email. Folks, use this "service" at your own risk. Do not be fooled by the glowing reviews offered here. The "service" works sparingly and when it doesn't they will not provide timely support. Most importantly though, keep in mind how crucial your profiles are for your respective businesses, how much time and money you have invested, and remember that it will be all for nothing, sooner or later, as Meta will catch you using at some point.

2021-07-07 | Amy Lee Westervelt | I wanted to love it and even share it with my clients, but it is super glitchy and the customer service doesn't even read the emails you send them. Great in theory. glad the first month was free.

2021-06-23 | liz @UsAndTheEarth | This tool has helped me boost my Instagram account tremendously. It's quite simple to use, and I love that it's now compatible with the Instagram browser! It's really motivating to be able to keep track of how many comments you've sent out in a day. With the use of this strategy and technology, I have already been able to reach a whole new audience and fans!
