2024-05-14 | alan kirkham | en | As a dyslexic I have found this to be the most useful app that I have ever used. Now I can feel confident in my spelling and the three free suggestions are enough to put me on the right track. If it is true you have donated £5000 to Ukraine then good on you - I wish I could give you ten stars
2024-05-14 | Christopher Brown | en | Grammarly used to be useful, but I feel as though it's been gradually becoming worse. Now, it frequently offers erroneous suggestions, and almost everything potentially useful is behind a paywall. Nowadays I find its really only "good" at checking my spelling, which I can do better with built-in spell checkers. This is not because my grammar & sentence structure has become better (though it has), but a regression in the usefulness of the standard version of Grammarly. The extension also occasionally turns my cursor invisible when active on Google Docs, which is, needless to say, very annoying. I used to value Grammarly for the improvements it offered, but now I find its more of an annoyance than anything. Its unfortunate.

2024-05-13 | Rick Laviolette | en | It seems promising but I have difficulty using it. The Grammarly Promts cover the last line of print always and i cannot see the text to finish. How do I get rid of it so the complete line is visible??
2024-05-13 | Filip | en | The application, extension, and desktop client are garbage. It can only check your basic spelling, and that’s it. Before these malicious updates, it was a useful tool, but now it requires you to subscribe to use even basic suggestions that were free. It looks like the company is on the verge of bankruptcy after donating $5 million to Ukraine, and now they are doing everything in their power to suck out all the money they can from their customers by limiting the use of their product. Corrections are trash and erroneous. The delivery suggestions are dreadful and meant to omit every unwanted word from the text, making your writing generic and amiable. The worst part is that you cannot deactivate it. Even if you label it wrong, it will suggest it again. The developers even removed some options from Grammarly GO, such as improving your text's fluency, and I could bet they locked it behind a subscription. They even trained their AI to improve your writing, rejecting your proposal to improve the text if it contains sensitive language such as Ukraine, combat, bombing, or any of the other words that collude with their country or Russia. The worst thing ever! Use any of their competitors, such as ProWritingAid, a language tool, QuillBot, or Trinka. You’ll have better luck with them. I also noticed that one million people removed this extension from their browsers within a day. Excellent. Perhaps that will wake them up, but my hopes are low for them. Screw this!

2024-05-12 | Box Truck Vagabond | en | First it gets in the way when you want to type. Second, you CAN'T uninstall it. I have uninstalled and reported them numerous times, but every time I open Chrome, it reinstalls and turns on. I've uninstalled Chrome and it still comes back. I've deleted all history and it still comes back. This is malware in my view. Junk |
