Highlights for YouTube
View highlights on the video player, that are generated from timestamps found in the description and top comments.
What is Highlights for YouTube?
'Highlights for YouTube' is a highly resourceful Chrome extension that presents relevant video highlights by fetching timestamps from the video descriptions and top comments. It enables users to effortlessly navigate through important segments of videos, eliminating the need to manually scroll through comments or descriptions. This feature might not be available for all videos as it is wholly reliant on the presence of timestamps. Further, the recent update now includes controls for moving between these highlights. perfect until I realized that it hides the original chapters button next to playback time
it conflicts with 'Tweaks for Youtube'. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tweaks-for-youtube/ogkoifddpkoabehfemkolflcjhklmkge
I use this extension because for some reason the youtube timestamp chapters arent showing up on some videos I watch, which is really annoying. I think this extension is a great substitute. The title of the chapter shows up and you can even skip to the next chapter which is awesome. The only thing I dont like is the yellow lines, they are a bit confusing to me, why cant it just be in sections like in the real youtube chapters feature? All I want to see is the exact point the chapter starts, and the exact point the next chapter starts, instead of weird yellow lines across the bar. There should also be an option to only show "highlights" from the description, not from the comments because I could care less about the comments
