## Description

**YDownloadNow** detects HLS `.m3u8`, DASH `.mpd`, direct video and audio files, then assembles stream segments into standard MP4 files without re-encoding. Choose video quality with estimated file sizes, extract audio as MP3, download in the background, and paste direct media URLs when automatic detection is unavailable.

The extension also detects images, PDFs and archives, includes file-type filters, thumbnails, download management and support for AES-128 and fragmented MP4 streams. Detection and processing happen locally in Firefox, with no account, analytics or tracking. DRM-protected content is refused by design. Available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Portuguese, with optional premium plans for higher download limits.
