2025-01-20 | My wife wants to apply for settled status as a family member. The only way to prove her identity is by using her identity card. However, all the residence cards have expired after the system became digital. In the app, she is not authorised to use her passport as her identity document because she is not from de UE. The app needs to be updated! | ||

I think the E-mail is requesting a document that I already attached with the app, but it doesn't say. The app does not remember any applications, and there is no facility to edit or even check the status. If you have to use this app, good luck. You will surely need it. | ||
2024-03-19 | This app is just awful, managed with some difficulty to get through all of the steps, and clicked save for later, however the app just closed down, and now it cannot be resumed from where we got to, but also could not start again, and it eventually just times out.. tried to call the help desk, but for 30 mins we were always 3rd in the queue, no changes, seems like deliberately trying to make it hard for people to complete the process 😔 | ||
2021-02-18 | My only advice would be for people to check and make sure their NFC is switched on and working properly. I tried to scan the passport for a chip with my phone several times but no chip was found. I then tried another phone and the scanning worked right away. That's when I tested my phone and realized the NFC, although switched on, didn't work properly. I eventually went into storage of the app info and cleared cache. And that did the trick! Hope this helps. | ||
2020-08-02 | The app only allows three attempts at scanning every 24 hours, which wouldn't be an issue if not for the fact it used up all three of those by itself, restarting the whole process after scanning one side of the id. Now I'm stuck waiting for a day, hoping that the attempts tomorrow will get me past this weird bug. Infuriating, and an opposite of helpful. | ||
2020-05-10 | Absolutely disgraceful and useless. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and when I first used it, it actually worked. This was back in September of last year 2019. Since then, I have constantly been trying to scan my passport, and what the app does is either start the whole process from the beginning or it says that the app is not working/responding and it closes. This problem has been ongoing for almost a year and it has not been happening only to me but it happening to many people. | ||

The confirmation code had to be entered twice each time as you couldn't submit it unless you deleted it and re-entered it. The scanning didn't work so had to restart. App crashed on me. The whole application process is degrading and we shouldn't not have to do it as we are LAWFULLY in the UK. | ||
2019-09-22 | Freezes all the time, I need to restart the phone to restart the app. Does not recognise passports, forced me to use ID card. The redirection to the website took ages, then froze for several minutes. I got kicked out from the queue several times, then got redirected to the instruction page. The process took more than 30 minutes, and still no result. Total failure, please fix the passport scanning feature (at least) | ||
2019-09-06 | I am using a blackberry keyOne, running Android 8.1.0 and the latest version of the app available on the google play store. As with other reviewers, the document scanning screen was displaying a message "Looking for document...", The latest update of the app seems to have resolved the issue and i was able to submit my data today. The app works as described, and is simple to use. Finally ! |
