## Description

Stop retreating to the easy part of the fingerboard.<br><br>Walking Bass Trainer makes you find chord tones across the whole double bass — in time, in tune, and without falling back to the positions you already trust.<br><br>I built it because I had exactly that problem.<br><br>I play double bass, and I write software. I realized that when practicing walking lines I&#39;d happily use the parts of the fingerboard I knew well, while the awkward positions stayed awkward.<br><br>So I built something to break the habit of retreating to familiar positions.<br><br>Walking Bass Trainer deals you a chord, keeps time, and listens through your microphone while you walk. Find a chord tone and it lights up. Play it sharp or flat and you see by exactly how many cents.<br><br>Then the next chord arrives.<br><br>A new puzzle every bar.<br><br>You&#39;re walking at 120 BPM.<br><br>Dm7 appears. G7 is already waiting underneath.<br><br>You find F. It lights up.<br><br>You reach for C higher up the neck. You&#39;re 17 cents sharp.<br><br>Next bar. G7. Keep walking.<br><br>It won&#39;t give you walking bass lines to memorize. That&#39;s deliberate.<br><br>This isn&#39;t a walking-bass course. It&#39;s for players who understand chords but want the connection between chord symbol, sound and fingerboard to become automatic.<br><br>Because on the stand, nobody waits while you work out where the 7th is.
