## Description

Text to Speech (TTS) is a lightweight browser extension that converts selected or entered text into natural-sounding speech using two engines: the native HTML5 Web Speech API for instant browser synthesis, and the Kokoro AI engine for higher-quality, AI-driven voices. Kokoro requires a one-time download (~300MB) but can run fully offline afterward and supports saving audio output as a WAV file.

Use the standalone interface via the toolbar to paste text, or trigger in-page playback by selecting text and clicking the speaker icon (highlighting is beta and works best when selecting paragraph-by-paragraph).
