## Description

Tab Privacy-Overlay adds a local privacy-screen feature for the current tab to Firefox.

After activation via the toolbar icon, the tab behaves normally as long as the mouse pointer remains inside the browser window. As soon as the pointer leaves the window, the visible page area is covered by a local overlay page. If the corresponding option is enabled, the overlay is only hidden again once the mouse pointer has returned to the window and Ctrl is also pressed.

The overlay content is loaded exclusively locally. Instead of embedding external pages, the extension displays a Markdown page from the settings. This avoids cookie banners, embedding issues, and other side effects of external content.

Features:

Enable and disable per tab

Local overlay page based on Markdown

Edit Markdown in the settings

Import and export Markdown

Optional requirement to press Ctrl to hide the overlay

Optional best-effort pause of HTML5 videos when the overlay appears

Quick access to the settings via the right-click menu on the add-on icon

The extension stores its settings only locally in Firefox and does not transmit browsing data to external services.
